Founded in 1833, the RJA&HS has been dedicated to promoting participation and excellence in agriculture and horticulture and the Society remains at the heart of rural life in Jersey.

The documents contained in this Archive have great historical interest, and provide an insight into the farming heritage of Jersey. For most of the 19th & 20th centuries, the Society was the only organisation recording and documenting agriculture and horticulture in the Island.
